This month’s City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, starting with the Beer Board at exactly 6:58 p.m.

Council will consider granting a beer permit to Cress Family Restaurants – Craven Wings at 144 Foothills Mall Drive. Then, the regularly scheduled meeting will be called to order. There is a time for citizens to be heard at the beginning (following approval of the minutes). You can address council about anything that is not on the agenda. If it is on the agenda, then you would approach the podium when council is discussing that item.
There are only two items on the agenda:
#1 Consideration of an ordinance (first reading) pertaining to boating and swimming in city waterways. City staff are recommending that council restrict boating and swimming in waterways for safety reasons.
#2 Consideration a resolution to authorize the special event “Long Table Community Dinner,” slated to be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2022.
